Born Leati Joseph Anoaʻi, Roman Reigns is referred to as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion as he’s the current and longest-reigning WWE Universal Champion (in his second reign). But will the 38-year-old American wrestler’s glorious WWE run be broken? A veteran from the field pitched in to reveal which of WWE’s hottest babyfaces – ‘LA Knight’ Shaun Ricker or Cody Rhodes, they see defeating Tribal Chief.
In a recent chat, former WWE head writer Vince Russo revealed Knight should be the one to end Reigns’ ongoing title run instead of Cody. Read on to know why Russo feels Shaun eventually usurping the Tribal Chief is better than The American Nightmare.
During a recent interaction with Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, Vince Russo got candid about wanting ‘LA Knight’ Shaun Ricker wanting to end ‘Roman Reigns’ Leati Joseph Anoaʻi’s historic WWE run instead of Cody Rhodes. The professional wrestling booker elaborated on the reason, saying, “The Cody thing is so fricking predictable. I mean, that’s why [Choosing Knight].”

He continued, “If LA Knight were to ever shock the world and beat Roman Reigns, that would be something. Cody is so [predictable], just like the end of the show was tonight. I was just waiting for him to come down with that headband. Like you knew this was coming from a mile away and that’s how it is with him winning the title.”
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff also stated that he would be surprised if Cody Rhodes failed to dethrone Roman Reigns, saying, “I would be surprised if Cody doesn’t eventually beat Reigns and come out victorious in this Bloodline storyline.”
Regarding Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns clashing in the WWE ring, Rhodes came the closest anyone has ever been to dethroning Reigns at WrestleMania 39. However, The American Nightmare was stopped by Solo Sikoa. Cody came face-to-face with Roman on SmackDown a couple of weeks back, and fans are hopeful that his time he will be successful in breaking the Tribal Chief’s run.
Cody is busy with Judgment Day on RAW and will face Damian Priest at Crown Jewel on November 4.
