The Rajkumar Hirani directorial was written by Rajkumar, Abhijat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon. C. K. Muraleedharan, Manush Nandan, and Amit Roy did the cinematography and the editing by Hirani. The film has Aman Pant’s background score with Pritam and Sheykhar Ravjiani’s compositions.

What is Dunki’s Plot/Synopsis?

The story starts in 1995 and ends in 2020. The movie highlights the “Donkey”, aka Dunki route some people from Punjab take to go to the UK. It’s life-threatening, and many are never found. In Hirani’s film, Hardy, an ex-army officer, decides to help Manu, Sukhi, Buggu, and Balli immigrate to the UK. While their spirits were high, they had no idea about the challenges they had to face. The movie runs high on emotions as we witness loss, deaths and betrayals. Hirani is known for adding many comedic elements to his stories; the same happens in his 2023 directorial.

Where Was Dunki Filmed?

The filming started in 2022. The SRK starrer was filmed in Mumbai, Budapest, London, Jeddah and Neom (Saudi Arabia), Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), Srinagar, Pampore, Sonamarg, Thajwas glacier and Pulwama.

When and Where to Watch Dunki?

Since Netflix India dropped the video, fans have assumed it is about Dunki’s OTT release date. In the comments as well as on X, the superstar’s fandom is wondering if the film is finally dropping on Netflix. However, earlier reports mentioned that the film might stream on Jio Cinema. So we must wait until the team confirms when and where the film will stream. If fans’ assumptions are true, we might get to see the film today itself.
