Directed by veteran Shoojit Sircar, Madras Cafe revisits the issues of ethnic strife in Sri Lanka in the late 1980s and early 90s, during the assassination of Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Meghna Gulzar’s spy thriller is dedicated to the unsung heroes who sacrifice their lives, love, family and everything to the nation.
