Today he may be known for his successful run at the films but Shah Rukh Khan has been a popular TV personality before he turned to the silver screen. The King Khan shot to fame after his hit Television series Fauji and Circus. The actor was flooded with film offers after the TV series were lauded by the audience.

In an old interview, SRK recounts his stint with the Television and states that he was initially not aiming to become a Bollywood actor. He even mentions of rejecting film offers that came his way after his TV popularity.

Not finding the idea of coming from TV background anything unworthy, the actor says, “Working for TV does not make me a lesser actor”.  He further adds that its the passion for acting that matters irrespective of the medium one may work for.

A lot of young actors today such as Sushant Singh Rajput, Manish Paul, Rajeev Khandelwala and Ayushmann Khurrana have started off their career on Television and then plunged to the movies. Can these stars too make it as big as SRK? Well, only time will tell.
