Nawazuddin, Prashant Favour Ban On Item Songs

Actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Prashant Narayanan support the Central Board of Film Certification’s (CBFC) decision to be more stringent about the content of item songs which go on TV. The two feel that raunchy numbers can impact children and banning such songs won’t take too much away from a movie.

Nawazuddin feels such songs are having a negative impact on children and, therefore, it is a good step by CBFC. While Prashant says it is good that a “non-crucial part of a film” would be banned.
