Cheat India Trailer OUT: Emraan Hashmi Portrays ‘Tit For Tat’ In The Most Appropriate Way!

After a spectacular performance of a salesman in Tigers (2018), Emraan Hashmi is back with a bang playing a similar role but this time selling admission seats to students. It is widely known to how well every parent in our society want their kid to become an engineer or a doctor or hold any other reputable post, and the trailer gives us a hint of how disastrous consequences this desperation leads to.

The trailer showcases Emraan as a business tycoon who ropes in a topper to appear in entrance exam on behalf of a candidate illegally and charges hefty money from the latter’s parent for the same. We also get a small glimpse of Shreya Dhanwanthary standing beside Hashmi in a scene and looks like there’s a love angle in the story too! We’re impressed with the actor’s performance and with a subject that indeed needed attention, there seem to be a lot of real-life dark secrets unveiling too! Feeling the adrenaline rush? Cheat India focuses on the prevailing education system in the country.

“The script and title of ‘Cheat India‘ are supremely powerful. This is among the most engaging and riveting stories I’ve read in a while and I am thrilled to be essaying what I believe will be a landmark role in my filmography,” Emraan said in a statement.

Directed by Soumik Sen, the film landed in a controversy earlier as filmmaker-actor duo Dinesh Gautam and Imran Zahid claimed the storyline of the film was copied from their movie titled Marksheet.

Emraan is not only acting in the film, but also producing it with T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment.

Also starring Shreya Dhanwanthary, Cheat India is scheduled to release on January 25, 2019.
