Manoj Bajpayee plays a coach – Biranchi Das and Child artiste Mayur plays the titular role of Budhia Singh in the film.

48 marathons. A record breaking run of 65 kms from Puri to Bhubaneswar in 50 Degree Centigrade in 7 Hrs and 2 mins. This is the achievement of Budhia Singh at the age of 5.
The wonder-child has further found a place in the Limca Book of Records as the youngest marathon runner. When he was young, Budhia was sold off to a hawker for Rs. 800/-, when Biranchi Das (role essayed by Manoj Bajpai) took him under his wing and discovered his talent to run. Das then went on to train him against all odds.
Budhia Singh – Born To Run is directed by Soumendra Padhi and produced by Viacom 18 pictures, Subrat Ray, Gajraj Rao and Subhamitra Sen. The film is set to release on 5th August, 2016.
