Ranveer Singh – Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy is making noise for all the right reasons. Right from its exciting concept, trailer and chart-buster music, the movie has grabbed the eyeballs of the movie buffs. After giving hits like Apna Time Ayega and Meri Gully Mein, the makers have now released the latest track named Azadi.

Azadi song narrates the hardships of oppressed section of the society and takes a dig on the paralyzed system. The song features Ranveer Singh trying illicit ways to suffice his financial needs. Apart from Ranveer, Azadi also features Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Azadi boasts of energetic vocals of DIVINE and Dub Sharma and also composed-penned by the same duo.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy is about the struggle of an aspiring rapper in Mumbai. It is inspired by the rappers DIVINE and Naezy.

The movie is set to release on 14th February 2019.

The sound of Apna Time Aayega reverberated at the Friedrichstadt-Palast here as Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh rapped away, much to the delight of the packed audience, at the world premiere of the forthcoming film “Gully Boy” at the 2019 Berlin International Film Festival.

“Packed house with the loudest, most passionate cheers. Berlinale gets a taste of the crazy Indian film fan at the world premiere of Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy‘,” tweeted Smriti Kiran, Creative Director, MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, who was present at the screening on Saturday night.

According to Cameron Bailey, Artistic Director, Toronto International Film Festival, a regular at the Berlinale, “Gully Boy” elicited the “biggest cheers” he had heard in “20+ years” at the annual film jamboree here.

Berlinale officials were grateful to Ranveer and the film’s cast and crew for leaving an impact that will be hard for the film fest crowd to forget.
