Actor Rahul Bose, who will be seen in the role of Zulfikar, a Pakistani General in Deepa Mehta’s adaptation of Salman Rushdie’s novel Midnight’s Children, says when a book is adapted into a film, it is definitely a happy moment for the author.
“If someone comes to you (writer) with a wish to adapt your novel or book, it feels good as you will get to see your book or the novel in another art form. These are very interesting things. I don’t think a writer lives for those moments. But when it happens, it feels good,” the 45-year-old said here in an interview.
