We’ve heard of many filmi heists, but this one might be the biggest of them all. Veteran actress Hema Malini’s Bombay residence was robbed on February 28 evening, with cash and jewellery worth Rs 80 lakh being looted. At the time ofrobbery, Hema Malini was out of the town for a dance performance in Nagpur.
The robbers broke into the house through a window. Malini’s cousin brother Mohan Narsingh Raghvan filed a complaint on Sunday morning with the police, after which the police have detained the guards of her house. Reports also say that a team has been sent to Nepal after receiving a tip.

In other Bollywood heists, Shah Rukh Khan’s Bandra residence was the scene for missing cash and jewellery worth more than Rs 4 lakhs in 2004, while Kareena Kapoor was set back by almost Rs 2 lakh when cash and jewellery was stolen from her Khar residence. The same was recovered after the police interrogated her domestic help.
