However, a few months ago, Karan Patel took a break from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi. He was replaced by actor Chaitanya Choudhry as Raman on the show. Well, there’s good news for all Raman-Ishita and Karan fans. The actor is all set to make a comeback soon.
Yes, you read it right! In an interaction with Times of India, Karan confirmed his return on the show. He also cleared that he never planned to quit YHM but had taken a break. Patel shared, “I don’t know why people speculated that I quit the show. I was just away from it for a while because I was busy with something else. This show will always be an integral part of my career and life.”
The speculations that Yeh Hai Mohabbatein might go off air have been making the rounds since last year. The actor was asked if there’s any truth to this rumour, he answered, “I don’t think so. Though we have been playing these characters for long, people’s love and admiration for us haven’t dipped. It means that I am doing something right. Playing Raman Bhalla will always be a matter of pride for me. If a few think that YHM has run its course, they need to recheck their facts with those who think it should go on.”

So what happens to Chaitanya who is currently playing Karan? Well, the sources state that Ekta Kapoor will show the plastic surgery angle to make it interesting.
Well, it’s double good news for the fans. Not only YHM is going off air any time soon and their favourite Karan is back as Raman Bhalla!
