Kumkum Bhagya is one of the most viewed high intense drama on Indian Television. The show has undergone a leap where the prime focus now is on Sriti Jha (Pragya) and Shabir Ahluwalia (Abhi) and their two daughters Prachi and Rhea. Now the latest update on the track is that this pivotal show will witness the entry of a new character. It is none other than Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor Ribbhu Mehra.
According to BollywoodLife report, the show will gather the focus around Ruchi Savarn who will essay the character of Disha, who is also Pragya’s good friend in the serial. It will embark the entry of her new love interest. Ribbhu will be essaying the role of a lover.

A source close to the latest news development said,” Ribbhu has signed the show on Tuesday. He will start the shooting for the show either on Friday or Saturday,”. This will be Ribbhu’s second project with Balaji Telefilms. Earlier he played the role of a villainous Nikhil in Ekta’s Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Ribbhu did not give an official statement but when contacted.

As television show “Kumkum Bhagya” completed five years the lead actors of the daily soap — Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha –had become emotional and nostalgic.
Shabir had taken to Instagram to thank his fans for their “love and support”.
He wrote: “Here’s celebrating a show that has stood the test of time and crossed the boundaries of language, a big thank you to each and every one of you from all over the world for all the love you have given ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, for always keeping it at the top, no matter where it aired, and what language. We, as a team, are truly grateful that you let us entertain you for half a decade.
“We really do hope your love only grows and we keep entertaining you for a long time to come.”

Along with the post, he shared throwback photographs of himself with Sriti and the team.
Launched in 2014, Ekta Kapoor’s “Kumkum Bhagya” revolves around the relationship of Pragya (Sriti) and Abhi (Shabir). The show recently took a leap and now it focuses on the life of Pragya and Abhi’s daughters.
Emotional on the completion of five years of the show, Sriti said: “The last five years have been so full of joy for all of us. Thank you for being with us.”
