To All Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Fans! Dilip Joshi Is Hopeful For Disha Vakani’s Return As Daya, What About You?

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been in the news for quite a long time due to the much-anticipated return of Disha Vakani, who portrays the character of Daya in the show. Several speculations are now done and dusted and the makers too stated that the hunt is on for a new face to play the renowned character.

Not just the audience but the cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah too shared their desire to see Disha back in her celebrated character and said that no one else can replace her. Now finally Dilip Joshi (Jethalal Gada in the show) has opened up on the matter in an exclusive interview to Bollywood Life.

He quoted, “Well, I don’t know, they say – ‘Never say never’. It might happen that Disha returns as Daya Ben. I’m hoping and keeping my fingers crossed (for that).”

He further adds, “Life is life, it goes on. If someone from our family goes, life goes on. You have to adjust. There’s no option. I think she owns this character. She has worked hard for 9 and a half years. Obviously! (no actress can replace). There was no personal bond between us. We only have professional communication. (Like) I congratulated her when she delivered the baby. Or in between, if it’s her birthday I message her. But it’ll be wrong on my part to talk to her about work.”

He ended the conversation with a hope and said it will be exciting to see Disha back in the show.

“Hopefully, Daya’s entry will be there. That’ll be exciting,” Dilip Joshi concludes.
