The Real Housewives of Potomac is the eighth installment of the Real Housewives franchise. The first edition was Orange County, followed by New York City, Atlanta, New Jersey, Beverly Hills, and Miami. The DC edition faced a lot of controversy and was ultimately shut down.
The Real Housewives of Potomac premiered in January 2016 and revolves around women residing in Potomac, Maryland. The edition wrapped up its 9th season last month and is slated to begin production on its landmark 10th season soon. Here’s a guide and timeline to all nine seasons of Real Housewives of Potomac.

Season one of The Real Housewives of Potomac aired from January 17 to April 17, 2016, with 12 episodes. It starred Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, and Katie Rost as the housewives and the main cast members of the debut edition.
The second edition aired from April 2 to July 16, 2017, with a total of 14 episodes. Bryant, Darby, Dixon, Huger, Jackson-Jordan, and Rost returned for the season, but the latter was fired after filming had started. She was then replaced in the season by new addition Monique Samuels.
The third season had 20 episodes, which aired from April 1 to August 19, 2018. Bryant, Darby, Dixon, Huger, and Samuels returned. Jackson-Jordan returned but in a recurring capacity instead of as a full-time cast member. Candiace Dillard was the newest addition.
Season four had 21 episodes, which aired from May 5 to September 29, 2019. Bryant, Darby, Dixon, Huger, Samuels, and Dillard returned for yet another season. Rost returned after a break, but in a recurring capacity.

The fifth edition had 22 episodes, which aired from August 2 to December 27, 2020. Everyone, including Bryant, Darby, Dixon, Huger, Samuels, and Dillard, returned for another season. Wendy Osefo joined as the newbie.
The sixth season aired from July 11 to December 5, 2021, with a total of 22 episodes. Bryant, Darby, Dixon, Huger, Dillard, and Osefo returned, but Samuels announced her departure. Mia Thornton was roped in as a new main cast addition, while Askale Davis joined in the “friends of” capacity.
Season 7 aired from October 9, 2022, to March 5, 2023, with a total of 20 episodes. Bryant, Darby, Dixon, Huger, Dillard, Osefo, and Thornton came back for another edition. Jackson-Jordan returned but in the “friend of” capacity and was joined by new recurring member Jacqueline Blake.

Nneka Ihim was roped in as the new addition to the main cast. Jackson-Jordan returned as a friend and was joined by Keiarna Stewart as a new recurring addition to the Potomac edition of Housewives.
Season 9 was the latest edition of The Real Housewives of Potomac. It aired from October 6, 2024, to March 2, 2025, with a total of 20 episodes. Bryant, Darby, Huger, Osef,o and Thornton came back. Dixon, Dillard, and left. Stacey Rusch was the newest main cast addition, and Keiarna Stewart was upgraded to a housewife. Blake returned as a “friend of” and was joined by Jassi Rideaux, another new recurring cast member of RHOP.
Usually, filming for the Potomac edition begins by now, and the tenth season was supposed to start production in March. But the prison sentence of key cast member Karen Huger has thrown the plans into disarray. She is serving her time behind bars at the moment, and that has ruined the schedule.
It seems like Bravo is not willing to move forward with filming without her. Karen is not only an original housewife but also the Grand Dame. She has been sentenced to prison because of her DUIs. Though it’s not favorable to halt filming of the entire season till she is released, a new report claims she might be released early due to actively good behavior inside the facility.
