After a halt of 3 months, things have finally begun moving towards normalcy. Stars from Erica Fernandes to Kapil Sharma are back to sets. But the unlock has also come in as a massive shocker. Many of our favourites like Kasautii Zindagii Kay’s Parth Samthaan to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Neha Mehta have quit the show.
Adding to it, yesterday, we heard about Shilpa Sinde wanting to quit her comedy show, Gangs Of Filmistan. Too many resignations in the TV industry, right? Check out a compilation of all of the below:
Kasautii Zindagii Kay – Parth Samthaan
Ekta Kapoor’s show has been in a soup for long now. Soon after Parth returned from his COVID-19 recovery, he had put down his papers. As per reports, there’s a Bollywood break that he is looking forward to. Despite the makers’ multiple efforts, it seems that the actor has made his mind and there’s no looking back.
An official confirmation from either Kasautii Zindagii Kay makers or Parth Samthaan is yet to come. Meanwhile, co-star Sahil Anand is also been said to quit the show. Not to forget, Karan Singh Grover too had quit just before the shoots resumed.

Tujhse Hai Raabta – Reem Shaikh
Gossip mill had it that Reem Shaikh who plays Kalyani made the decision to quit earlier last week. She reportedly wanted to explore ‘new opportunities and avenues.’ However, she later came out in the open and clarified that the issues have been resolved with the makers. So, she finally decided to continue her run.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah – Neha Mehta
Neha had played the role of Anjali in Taarak Mehta for as long as 12 years. It is said that in February, the actress had some issues with Asit Kumarr Modi. However, she wasn’t paid any attention. So in order to hold her ‘integrity’, Mehta decided to bid goodbye to the show.
Even Gurucharan Singh, who played Mr Sodhi had marked an exit around the same time.
Shilpa Shinde – Gangs Of Filmistaan
Fans of the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! fame actress were elated about her TV comeback. Gangs of Filmistaan features Sunil Grover and Shilpa Shinde in lead. However, the actress alleged that the makers weren’t following guidelines amid the pandemic. Shilpa also claimed that Sunil’s casting was kept hidden from her.
While the producer has said that they want to sort things out, only time will tell if Shinde is ready to iron out the differences.
Saumya Tandon – Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain!
Saumya Tandon marked her exit last week. There were celebrations and a proper farewell given to the actress. She was hailed for her performance as ‘Gori Mem.’ But the actress felt that she wanted to grow as an artist. So she decided to quit her stable role and look for projects that excite her further.
Avneet Kaur – Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga
Avneet enjoyed massive fame with Aladdin. However, the coronavirus pandemic turned into a roadblock for the actress. Owing to her health issues, particularly her weak immune system, Kaur decided not to take a risk. So, she marked her exit and was eventually replaced by Ashi Singh.
Naina Singh – Kumkum Bhagya
Breakthrough performance for Naina Singh – eventually she felt she couldn’t relate to her character. In fact, the actress said that Rhea in Kumkum Bhagya portrayed jealousy and hate. And the actress did not want to send across the wrong message to her young fans. She had served her notice last year itself and was serving her period till earlier this year.
