Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is still running strong on TV. From Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal to Munmun Dutta aka Babita – fans still want each and every update regarding the cast. But one person missing since a long while is Disha Vakani. The actress took a break for maternity, and there has been no sign of return ever since.
Multiple times now, there have been reports around Dayaben’s return. Initially, it was said that the actress has quit. Asit Kumarr Modi even mentioned how they were looking for a suitable replacement. Eventually, negotiations with Vakani itself were on-going but it seems nothing materialized.
The show must go on! And that’s truly what has happened with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. However, an old picture of Disha Vakani is now going viral. It features her from Gokuldham society. The highlight is that fans feel she is back on the show.

Disha Vakani’s return (if it ever happens) would be on a grand festival. At least, that is what has been reported multiple times previously. With a picture of Disha Vakani in her Taarak Mehta outfit and a lot of decoration in the background – many felt that she’s marking her return on Ganesh Chaturthi.
The concerned picture is a selfie with Champaklal Gada (Amit Bhatt) and Mrs. Haathi (Ambika Ranjankar). Initially shared by a fan account, within moments, the photo went viral and fans speculated if the actress was back in the Ganesha special episode.
However, it is quite apparent that the picture is quite old. So no, we still do not have Disha Vakani marking her return on Taarak Mehta.
In the latest developments, Gurucharan Singh and Neha Mehta (Mr. & Mrs. Sodhi) have quit the show. Neha has been replaced by Sunayana Fozdar.
