Apart from making the audience laugh with rib-tickling comedy, the entire team has been very supportive and have always come forward to support various charities. Not many are aware that it was in the year 2012 when Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s lead stars Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal with Disha Vakani aka Daya lent their supporting hand on behalf of the entire TMKOC team by joining forces with various Bollywood celebrities including Salman Khan for a charity by displaying their cricketing skills.

The match was named ‘Junoon’ and was hosted by the Rotaract Club of HR College in Mumbai. It was a ‘Celebrity Charity Cricket Match’ supported by EVE Foundation (Empowering Villages Everywhere) for the physically disabled.
The match was played with one common motive, ‘disability is no handicap.’

With this very kind deed among various others, and along with their skill to make people burst into peals of laughter, no wonder that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is so immensely popular all over and has been ruling hearts and TV screens for over a decade.
