All kinds of film and TV shootings have come to a halt amid the 21-day nationwide lockdown owing to the pandemic coronavirus. As a result, almost every TV channel has taken to rerunning old serials to provide the daily does of entrainment to viewers.

CID, which aired on Sony TV for a record number of years, 22 is all set to return with veteran actor Shivaji Satam in lead. Produced by BP Singh, CID has a record run for the longest time on any channel. Expressing his happiness on the rerun of the crime show, Satam has been quoted by TOI saying, “It makes me happy and joyous that people will again get to see and experience CID. It ran for 22 years — that’s not something you can achieve with poor content. Our stories were so engaging for people. Everywhere I go today, people recognise me as ACP. It was such a good experience for us as actors because we became a large family. The show saw so many actors come and go. It will be fun to relive all of that.”
