Shefali Jariwala Was Paid Only THIS Much Amount For Kaanta Laga, Reveals “My Father Was Completely Against It”

Shefali Jariwala recently rose back to fame with her stint in Bigg Boss 13. However, she will always be remembered as the ‘Kaanta Laga’ girl. The song was truly too ahead of its times. Now, the actress is opening about the pay she got for it. What’s more interesting is how she convinced her father to be a part of it.

The beauty in a recent interview revealed how she badly wanted to see herself on TV. But Shefali Jariwala’s father was completely against it. The journey to convince him must have been tough, but clearly, it was worth it.

In a conversation with Times Of India, “I earned Rs 7,000 from that song, and I wanted to see myself on TV. But my father was completely against it. So first, I took my mom into confidence, and then, we both convinced my father. And that song turned out to be such a hit that it was like a fairy tale for me. It changed my life completely,” shared Shefali Jariwala.

Not just that, the Bigg Boss 13 contestant is truly grateful for how it garnered her unprecedented fame. Talking about the same, Shefali Jariwala said, “Today, whatever I am is because of ‘Kaanta Laga’. I was outside my college when the directors of the song, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, saw me and instantly offered me the song. I was in college then and I come from a family of academicians, so my parents told me to focus on my studies. But I wanted to do it because I was getting paid for it.”

For the unversed, Kaanta Laga was released in 2002 and turned into a massive hit soon after it was unveiled. Shefali Jariwala till date is known for her charisma in that song.

On the personal front, Shefali Jariwala is planning on adopting a baby with husband Parag Tyagi.
