Directed by Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan, the story of Season 2 is based on a book by Vikram Chandra. It revolves around a gangster Ganesh Gaitonde (played by Nawazuddin) and a cop, Sartaj Singh (played by Saif Ali Khan) who is trying to save the city from something disastrous happening in 25 days.
