Divyendu Sharma will forever be iconic as Mirzapur’s Prince Munna Tripathi. There has been a lot of buzz about whether Munna Tripathi will return in Mirzapur Season 3. The Madgaon Express star, still celebrating the film’s success, finally opens up on his return in Mirzapur 3.
Fans have waited almost three years to find out about the fate of Munna Tripathi, in Mirzapur Season 3 and there have been theories that he might return to the show. Even Producer Ritesh Sidhwani hinted at Divyendu’s return, but he said that it would be unconventional.
Now, Munna Tripathi himself is breaking his silence, and what he has to say will shock the Mirzapur fans. And cue, the internet’s meltdown. In an unexpected twist, at the end of the second season of the crime drama, the beloved character was killed. However, fans continue to speculate conspiracy theories that Munna Tripathi is, in fact, alive, and will be a part of Mirzapur Season 3.
Further divulging into the character, Divyendu revealed, “For me, Munna was a really troubled soul. I knew that this was a banger of a script, and it would be iconic. It would explode. But, funnily enough, initially, I was approached for Babloo’s character, but then a couple of days later, they realized I would be a much better fit for Munna.”
He further continued, saying, “When I was in character, it was affecting my personality a lot. We shouldn’t over-romanticize going too deep into a character because it is not easy.”
He also made a shocking revelation and said, “At times, it used to get really dark for me. I felt suffocated. It’s so tricky that you don’t even realize that you are in that zone. It’s only when you come out of it you realize how dark it was.”
Fans widely anticipate the long-awaited third season of the blockbuster show Mirzapur and are unable to contain their excitement. The show’s scorching first look has further fueled the hype, and fans have donned detective hats to locate Easter eggs in the brief teaser that was released.
And now that we know that Munna Tripathi is not coming back, the disappointment is real. Mirzapur will always feel a little empty with Munna Bhaiya, but the show must go on!
