#MeToo Accused Anu Malik To Appear In A Television Reality Show?

The apocalypse of #MeToo movement in India brought out a lot of names in headlines who were accused of sexual misconduct. Amidst the list of names that came out, was a music composer and former Indian Idol’s judge Anu Malik. Singers Sona Mohapatra, Shweta Pandit, and Alisha Chinai accused him of sexual harassment. In between all of this, the latest reports are suggesting that Malik may return to the small screen. A few months back it was also reported that Anu may return as a judge for Indian Idol 11.

As per a report in Times Of India, Anu Malik may join the reality show, Superstar Singer. The composer will be seen as a guest with lyricist Sameer for one episode. Talking about the same, a source quoted, “He will make an appearance along with lyricist Sameer in an episode dedicated to the songs composed and written by them.”

Post several allegations buckled up against Anu Malik he stepped down as a judge and had issued a statement saying, “I, Anu Malik, have decided to take a break from Indian Idol as I am currently unable to focus on my work, my music, and the show.” Besides, Sony TV, which airs the show, said, “Anu Malik is no longer a part of Indian Idol jury panel. The show will continue its planned schedule and we’ll invite some of the biggest names in Indian music as guests to join Vishal and Neha to judge extraordinary talent of Indian Idol Season 10.”

Superstar Singer is a singing reality show on Sony TV that is being judged by Himesh Reshammiya, Javed Ali and Alka Yagnik.
