Karanvir Bohra On Resumption Of Shoots: “We Have To Accept That Price Cut Will Be A Norm”

After 3 months of lockdown, the shoots of many films and TV shoots will resume soon. Karanvir Bohra has shared his thoughts on going back to the sets and how it will be different. The last 3 months have been tough for everyone, especially the actors whose livelihood entirely depended on the money they would get from their work.

Due to no shoots since March, a lot of actors faced a financial crisis. Many hardly had any money to pay rent or buy basic necessities. Now that shoots will resume soon, Karanvir Bohra feels that actors will have to go get used to pay cuts as it will be a norm. The Naagin actor told Hindustan Times, “Make a digital self of yourself and send it to work.”

He added, “Work is important right now. I think actors will continue to have a tough time. One who can survive will do but after being at home for three months, the ones who have EMIs and payments to make will find it tough to survive in the next few months. I think, in terms of shoots, setups outside Maharastra will start as things are not quite settled here. As an actor, I won’t negotiate much on the price, as work is important. We have to accept that price cut will be a norm. Kaam ki liye mana mat karo. Bas kaam karo. Then there are limitations on the number of people on set etc which will also affect everyone’s morale.”

Karanvir Bohra shared that he had a good time with his kids and family during the lockdown. So he didn’t miss out much during these times outside the house. However, he used to miss shooting on sets.

Meanwhile, the actor was last seen in the recently released Zee5 web series, The Casino. The show also stars Mandana Karimi, Sudanshu Pandey, Aindrita Ray and others.
