After the precedent success of Netflix’s short film series Lust Stories, directors Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee have collaborated for the horror anthology, Ghost Stories. The clutter of short films features actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Verma in various stories.
And now, in a rather scary turn of events, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in statements released on the official Netflix handle have revealed some real-life spooky events that happened during the shoot of the horror anthology.
Taking to her social media platform, Janhvi wrote, “Apart from being a classic ghost story, the script resonated with me on a very deep level. The horror is more emotional and human than anything external. Something that spooked me out was that after we wrapped the shoot, about 10 of us fell really, really sick.”

Meanwhile, Mrunal’s statement creeped us out more than anything else after she revealed, “While shooting the wedding night scene, the cameraman looked through the camera and said, ‘I told you guys, I don’t want that white light from the window’ but there was no one standing near the window.”
Produced by RSVP Movies and Flying Unicorn Entertainment, Ghost Stories also stars Gulshan Devaiah, Avinash Tiwary, Raghuvir Yadav, Sobhita Dhulipala and Pavail Gulati. The Netflix original will begin streaming on the platform from the 1st of January 2020.
