There’s no reason to doubt the humongous popularity of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. But on the same channel, there was another show which still has its loyal fan base. Here we are speaking about Kavita Kaushik led cult show, F.I.R. There’s one interesting similarity between Kavita’s Chandramukhi Chautala and Disha Vakani’s Daya and that’s their tone of speaking.
Even though F.I.R. went off the air during 2015, the fan following for the show, especially Kavita’s Chandramukhi is still intact. On the other hand, we don’t need to utter a word on Daya’s popularity, portrayed by Disha. Here we are making no comparisons between the two actresses and their characters as both have an entirely different backdrop.
It was during the year of 2012 when both Kavita Kaushik and Disha Vakani both had a face-off, where the former managed to score a victory over the latter. We are talking about 11th Indian Telly Awards. Both the actresses were nominated for their legendary characters in Best Comic Actress category.

And as we mentioned, it was fearless Chandramukhi Chautala played by Kavita Kaushik who bagged the award. Apart from her and Disha Vakani, the other nominees were- Vandana Pathak as Bakula Vasavada (R K Laxman Ki Duniya), Sucheta Khanna as Indumati (Lapataganj) and Sucheta Khanna as Indumati (Lapataganj).
Meanwhile, speaking about Kavita Kaushik’s F.I.R., the show enjoyed an amazing run on SAB. It was aired from 2006 to 2015. In its run, the show gave us memorable characters like Head Constable Gopi (Gopi Bhalla), Constable Gulgule (Kiku Sharda) and many more.
