Muzan Kibutsuji’s reign of terror was absolute, a web of fear stretching across the Demon Slayer universe. His influence was so suffocating that even the strongest of hashiras trembled at the mere thought of his power.
An army of demons, each with terrifying abilities, swore fealty to him, and yet, hidden among them, was a demon whose power was perhaps more dangerous than any other.

Nakime, the quiet and unassuming manipulator of space, lurked in the shadows, her fingers plucking the strings of her biwa as she shaped the battlefield to Muzan’s will. But what many failed to realize was that she alone possessed the means to end Muzan’s reign before the final battle even began. Yes, you read that right.

Unlike the infamous Upper Moons, whose raw strength and bloodlust made them legends, Nakime’s power lay in subtlety. She was not the type to engage in grand displays of brutality like Doma or Akaza. Instead, she wove reality itself with her music, reshaping the Infinity Castle at will.
An entire dimension existed within the confines of her control, an endless labyrinth where she could disorient, isolate, and eliminate her foes. No warrior, no matter how skilled, could predict where her portals would lead. A single note, a single strum of her biwa, and the very foundation of battle would shift. It was a power so vast, so boundless, that even Muzan trusted her with controlling the battlefield of his final stand.
But therein lay the irony. Nakime’s power was not just defensive, not just a tool for trapping demon slayers or creating chaos in the Infinity Castle. It was, at its core, the perfect weapon against Muzan himself.
Demons feared nothing except the sun, and that ultimate, inescapable weakness lingered above them like a death sentence. And when it comes to Nakime, she had the ability to send anyone anywhere, instantly.
Muzan, for all his might, for all his immortality, would have been helpless against her should she have simply willed it. A single command to her portals, and the King of Demons would have been cast into the daylight, burned to ash before he could react. But yes, she never did so.

Whether it was the overwhelming influence Muzan held over his creations or her unwavering loyalty, Nakime never took that one fateful step that could have ended everything. While others like Tamayo and Nezuko had broken free of Muzan’s control, Nakime remained tethered to her master.
Even in the final battle, her power proved to be a greater threat to Muzan than any blade. Yushiro, seizing control of her mind, turned her abilities against the demon king, forcing Muzan into a desperate position. And how did Muzan react? Well! He did not even hesitate. He did not try to reclaim her but killed her instantly.

Nakime’s potential was one of the greatest missed opportunities in Demon Slayer. Her ability was not flashy like Kokushibo’s Moon Breathing or savage like Doma’s ice techniques, but it was more dangerous than either.
She was not just the guardian of the Infinity Castle, she was its god. Had she ever turned her gaze upon Muzan with the intent to betray, had she ever questioned her role in his empire, the war against demons could have ended long before the final battle. And yet, bound by Muzan’s influence, she remained a silent force, shaping the battlefield in his favor until, in the end, she became too powerful for even him to allow her to exist.
