Better Call Saul is gearing for its final season and fans already cannot contain their excitement. But one question that has been raging since 2015 is whether Breaking Bad’s Walter White and Jesse Pinkman will be making a cameo or not. Answering it finally is Call Saul showrunner Peter Gould, and we can already hear a few hearts breaking.
Better Call Saul, for the unaware, came to life from Breaking Bad. The show that began as a spin-off went on to build a fandom of its own. After running for 5 successful seasons, it is finally coming to a conclusion with Season 6.
Since the very inception of the show, many fans have been wishing and asking for Walter and Jesse (played by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul), to appear on the show once. Now in an interview, Better Call Saul showrunner Peter Gould, has said it isn’t something necessary.

Talking to Collider, he said, “I like to think that we don’t have as much of an obligation to have Walt and Jesse back in Better Call Saul because they’re such a great appearance in El Camino. But having said that, I would love to have them back. I’d love to have Bryan direct an episode. I got to write an episode [of Breaking Bad] that Bryan directed and I was on set with him every day, and it was a wonderful experience. He’s a magnificent director.
“He’s one of the few directors who has a facility for the lightest comedy and the darkest drama. He’s remarkable. And Aaron Paul is possibly the happiest human being I’ve ever met, and he makes everybody around him happy. So yeah, I would love to have them back,” Better Call Saul showrunner said.
