13 Reasons Why All 3 Seasons Recap: Season 1: It all started back in 2017 with Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) telling us the complete story and all the reasons which made her commit suicide. Hannah recorded 7 tapes, each side of which tells 13 Reasons which played a catalyst in pushing her to her boundary of patience.

Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette), a close friend of Hannah who was also in love with her receives a box of tapes on his house’s doorstep. Along with it, he has the task of listening to the tapes and then working towards providing Hannah justice.

As he starts listening to the tapes, he learns about the disturbing reality of Hannah’s life. Each tape is linked to a person who is in some way responsible for Hannah’s death and only those persons will receive them who are responsible. This also shakes Clay from within as he can’t imagine being one of those persons. As he listens to the tapes, it becomes more difficult for him to focus because he can’t listen to Hannah’s painful voice, more so because she is not alive now.

Hannah names Justin Foley (Brandon Flynn), Jessica (Alisha Boe), Alex Standall (Miles Heizer), Tyler (Devin Druid), Courtney (Michele Selene Ang), Marcus (Steven Silver), Zach (Ross Butler), Ryan (Tommy Dorfman), Sheri (Ajiona Alexus), Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette), Bryce Walker (Justin Prentice), Mr. Porter (Derek Luke).

While everyone on their part couldn’t help Hannah but instead bullied and exploited her, it was Bryce Walker who was the primary culprit and actually r*ped Hannah which literally pushed her to the edge.

By the end of season 1, Clay secretly records Bryce’s confession of r*ping Hannah and hands over the tape to guidance counselor Mr. Porter. Jessica who was also one of the victims of Bryce, breakups with Justin and tells everything to her father. Alex shoots himself.

13 Reasons Why All 3 Seasons Recap: Season 2: Hannah’s parents Olivia and Andy (Brian d’Arcy James) have filed a lawsuit on the school claiming that everything happened because of their negligence. Everyone who was part of the tapes come to testify and tell their side of the story.

As they speak, the drama gets a new dimension and some more shocking details come out. Meanwhile, Justin who is struggling with his drug addiction problem starts living with Clay at his home without his parents being aware of it. Clay is also having hallucinations about Hannah continuously which takes a toll on his mental health. Tyler is brutally harassed and r*ped by Monty (Timothy Granaderos) and his friends.

By the end of the season, Hannah’s parents lose the case and their relationship is also badly affected. Andy is involved with another woman and it leads to their divorce.

Tyler comes out for a mass shooting at the school but Clay and Tony (Christian Navarro) manage to calm him down.

13 Reasons Why All 3 Seasons Recap: Season 3: New joinee of the Liberty High School Ani Achola (Grace Saif) is the narrator of this season. It’s revealed that Bryce has been killed but who has done it? Season 3 is all about solving the murder mystery but it’s Clay who finds himself under tremendous pressure. Everyone is suspicious of him but as the mystery gets unveiled it’s learned that not one but several characters were involved in his killing.

While Zach was involved in beating him on the night he died, later it was Alex who pushed the injured Bryce into the river which left him dead. Jessica also witnessed the same. However, Monty who dies by the end of the season is used for the cover-up and everyone is made to believe that he killed Bryce.

The season also shows Tyler opening about the s*xual assault he faced. Justin and Jessica reconcile, Clay and Ani start dating despite the fact that she was also involved with Bryce for a while.

Amidst all this, Alex admits it to his father about his acts but despite being a cop, he destroys the evidence.

13 Reasons Why All 3 Seasons Recap: Season: 4

The 4th and last season of 13 Reasons Why will be about Winston, the boyfriend of Monty trying to prove that he is innocent. In season 3, while Monty was framed for Bryce’s murder, Winston knows that’s not the truth. Because at the time Bryce was killed both Monty and Winston were having s*x.
