Mollywood heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan who kickstarted 2020 on a grand note with the huge success of his first Malayalam release of the year Varane Avashyamund, is busy these days spending quality time with his family amid lockdown. The other day Dulquer took to his Twitter handle to lend his apology to a Mumbai based reporter for the accusation of using her picture in the Varane Avashyamund without her consent and for body shaming.

The reporter on Monday tweeted to Dulquer and his production company, “Dear @dulQuer@DQsWayfarerFilm Thank you for the feature in your film but I’d like you to excuse me from body-shaming on a public forum. The concerned image was used without my consent & knowledge in your film. I’d like to claim ownership of the same. #VaraneAvashyamund”

The reporter also further tweeted asking for a public apology or she won’t mind filing a legal suit, as she shared a clip from the film which is currently on Netflix. As her tweet read, “While the legal suites would follow, how about a public apology for now?”

It didn’t take much time for Dulquer Salmaan to notice the tweet and being a thorough gentleman that he is, the actor instantly apologized, and made sure that he will look into the matter seriously. Dulquer’s tweet read, “We take full responsibility for the error on our behalf. Will look into it with concerned departments of the film to understand how the images were sourced. I apologise from my end and from the film as well as @DQsWayfarerFilm for any difficulties caused. It wasnt intentional.”

Talking about Varane Avashyamund, the film which released in February also stars veteran actors Suresh Gopi, Shobana along with Kalyani Priyadarshan in lead.
