Cameos are the most glamorous part of films, and a star cameo that pops up as a surprise generally garners a lot of buzz and attention, acting as a catalyst for a film’s growth in general. One such cameo was planned for Vijay Deverakonda‘s film The Family Star, and Rashmika Mandanna was more than happy to oblige.
The Animal starlet shot for the scene, and her entry was planned in a very surprising cameo that might have uplifted the film for all the right reasons. In fact, pictures of this scene also leaked on the internet.
However, reports by 123 Telugu suggest that Rashmika Mandanna’s cameo was chopped off at the last minute before the release of the film on April 5. Rashmika’s scene was kept under wraps, but it nevertheless made its way to the internet.

The Family Star was also supposed to have cameos by the producer Dil Raju & his wife. These scenes were shot for the US chapter of the film and were shot in the US as well.
However, there is no clarity as to why director Parasuram decided to go against Rashmika‘s cameo despite shooting it. But the easiest explanation seems to be the leak that killed the surprise already. It was not a long cameo, and even that got spilled, and probably that is why the scenes were chopped off since their worth was not that magical.
Rashmika Mandanna has worked with Parasuram in Geetha Govindam, which starred Vijay Deverakonda as well. The film was a massive hit, and thus, Parasuram decided to cash on the magic that happened with their previous film.
Reports suggest that producer Dil Raju also had a cameo in a song from the film, but even that got chopped off. The Family Star opened to mixed reviews in India, and the film has collected 9.75 crore in two days.
