Kollywood superstar Arvind Swami has a special surprise in store this morning for the fans waiting for Kangana Ranaut starrer Jayalalithaa biopic titled Thalaivi. The veteran actor took to his Twitter account to share his first look from the much-anticipated film.

The actor who will be playing the role of Tamil icon and former CM of Tamil Nadu, Maruthur Gopala Ramachandran aka MGR on the occasion of latter’s 103rd birth anniversary unveiled the first look posters from his upcoming biopic film based on the life of Jayalalithaa.

The actor along with the first look poster tweeted, “Here is my first look as Puratchi Thaliavar, Makkal Thilagam MGR in #Thalaivi . A teaser follows
at 10.30 am today. Hope u like it”

Talking about the posters,  Arvind has pulled off the look brilliantly. As the actor by looks does resemble a lot to MGR from his younger days, be it hairstyle, sitting pose.

Arvind also unveiled the teaser of his character this morning just a   while ago, and one must say that the actor has nailed it with his complete transformation as MGR. The veteran actor can be seen shaking his leg to Tamil song in the black and white backdrop in a village.  

Talking about Thalaivi, National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut is playing the titular role.

Thalaivi is being helmed by filmmaker A L Vijay. The biopic will hit big screens in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages in 2020.
