Tollywood actor Venu Madhav who was admitted in a hospital in Secunderabad following liver ailment breathed his last today afternoon.

As per a report from The Hindu, the actor was hospitalized for almost two weeks and was discharged last Sunday after doctors advised him to get liver transplantation. Unfortunately, his condition worsened yesterday and he was rushed to hospital by his family.

The report also further state that Venu was shifted to the Intensive Critical Care Unit (ICCU) and was put on a life support system.

The versatile actor was having liver and kidney issues from a long time following which he stayed away from films.

Venu Madhav was born near Kodada in the Nalgonda district of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, now in Suryapet district of Telangana state.

Venu had made his acting debut with Telugu venture Sampradayam back in 1996. Though the actor had a small role, he was well appreciated for his character in the film.

From there on the actor went on to do over 170 films in his career which also includes a few Tamil movies.

The actor was last seen in 2016 release Telugu film Dr Paramanadaiah Students Gang. Prior to that, the actor had played an important role in filmmaker Gunasekhar’s 2015 released epic action film Rudhramadevi which had Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun and Anushka Shetty in lead.
