Join UsThalapathy Vijay fans are leaving no stone unturned to trend their favourite star’s much awaited Master on Social media sites. The magnum opus which was supposed to release on 9th April has been postponed due to lockdown. Just like every other actor from Kollywood, Master actress Malavika Mohanan is observing self-isolation with the proper practice of social distancing.
The young actress this morning made it to headlines for her tweet on a fan-made cartoon on the Master team amid quarantine. However, the sketch didn’t impress Malavika. As the actress in the cartoon is seen cooking, while Thalapathy Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, film’s music composer Anirudh Ravichander can be seen enjoying music, playing ludo, practising piano etc.
Malavika tweeted, “The task of a woman even in a hypothetical ‘movie house’ is to cook? When will gender role die? sigh.”

Following her tweet, Thalapathy Vijay fans trolled the actress, due to which Malavika later deleted her tweet.
Singer Chinmayi Sripada rushed to Malavika’s support, as she tweeted, “A professional actor questions a fan-made illustration for portraying HER ‘role’ in a way SHE didn’t like. She gets bullied, abused and harassed into deleting her tweet. Said sexist ‘cartoon’ gets close to 1000 Retweets.”

Talking about Master, the Thalapathy Vijay starrer has Super Deluxe actor Vijay Sethupathi as the lead antagonist. The action thriller also has Andrea Jeremiah, Nassar among others in pivotal roles.
Master is been helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Reportedly, the makers are planning to release the film on 22nd June on Thalapathy Vijay’s birthday.
However, an official confirmation is yet to be announced.
Master will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
