Even his recent release, Guntur Kaaram, collected over 120 crores net, despite poor reviews and competition from HanuMan. Now, the latest we have learned is about the Guntur Kaaram coming on board for one of the biggest UPI apps, Phone Pe. And to represent the app, he has reportedly charged a monstrous amount.

5 Crores just to say three words?

As per the report in Track Tollywood, Mahesh Babu has been roped in to give his voice for Phone Pe UPI transactions. It is said that he has lent his 5-second voiceover, and for that, he has charged a staggering 5 crores. With a combination of AI-generated voice, users will hear “Thank you, Boss” in Mahesh’s voice whenever a successful transaction is done, which is really cool. The voice-over will be available only on smart speakers.

Mahesh Babu’s upcoming project

After Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh Babu has dedicated himself to a magnum opus, which will be directed by SS Rajamouli. Reportedly, Mahesh is undergoing a drastic body transformation for the project and will be seen in a completely new avatar. If rumors are to be believed, the project is riding on an unbelievable budget of 1000 crores, and it will be released in multiple languages. It will mark Mahesh Babu’s first true pan-India film.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu’s last release, Guntur Kaaram, has ended up being an underperformer at the worldwide box office. Despite the Sankranti holiday season, the film failed to even enter the 200 crore gross club. It was defeated by Teja Sajja’s HanuMan.
