Star filmmaker S.Shankar’s ambitious project Indian 2 has been making headlines ever since its inception. The Kamal Haasan led film which is one of the most anticipated releases has been in various controversies right from the start. The latest buzz regarding the film is, the Kamal Haasan starrer may not see the daylight. The reason being said is that Indian 2 is likely to be dropped following various incidents and controversies revolving it.
As per a report from thehansindia.com, the Kamal Hassan starrer has been in limelight for various not so good reasons like musical genius A R Rahman’s exit from the project. Following which young composer Anirudh Ravichander was roped in for musical works of Indian 2. The film was initially supposed to be bankrolled by producer Dil Raju, but following some unknown reasons he opted out from the project, and Lyca productions stepped in.
The Kamal Haasan starrer also headlined all across a couple of months back following a crane accident on sets of the film which claimed the lives of three technicians. And now the shoot of the film has been put on halt amid lockdown.

As per the same report, initially, various big names from the south film industry were approached by the makers for key roles in the Kamal Haasan starrer but following one or the other reasons nothing worked in the film’s favour.
However, nothing yet has been confirmed, as an official announcement regarding Indian 2’s shooting status is to be announced by the makers.
Indian 2 also has Bollywood beauties Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Sing alongside Kamal Haasan in key roles. The magnum opus also has veteran actor Nedumudi Venu, Bobby Simha, Samuthirkani, Siddharth with others in pivotal roles.
Indian 2 is a sequel to 1996 hit Tamil release Indian. The original had Kamal in dual roles of father and son. The film told the story of Vigilante Senapathy who roots out corruption from the system.
