Join UsTamil film industry aka Kollywood woke up to a piece of grieving news early today. The reason being a major mishap on the sets of Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2 which claimed lives of 3 technicians.
The accident took place yesterday night at EVP Film City located on outskirts of Chennai where the film was being shot. As per various reports, the deceased was deeply indulged in constructing a set for a particular sequence that was to be shot when allegedly a crane lost its control and fell on them claiming their lives, and left almost 10 others injured.
As per reports, the injured have been admitted to hospitals in Chennai.
Though Kamal Haasan and the film’s director were present at the location but they were a few distances away from where the accident took place.
Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal and the Indian 2’s production banner Lyca Productions took to their respective Twitter handle to express their grief.
Kamal Haasan tweeted, “Today’s accident is the most horrific I have seen in my film career. I have lost three colleagues but my pain pales in comparison to the grief of those who have lost their loved ones. My deepest sympathies to them.”
“I have met those in the hospital and have also spoken to the doctors and with my strong hope that the injured will recover soon I await the dawn of tomorrow,” he further added.
