The year 2024 is filled with some big and exciting South Indian movie releases. One of the movies that has a great buzz and tremendous anticipation is JR NTR’s Devara. The film is divided into two parts, and the first part will release in 2024. The Telugu action drama is helmed by Koratala Siva and also stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor.

The Jr NTR starrer is cited as one of the most expensive Tollywood movies, made with a budget of Rs 150 crore. Earlier, it was confirmed that the digital rights of Devara Part 1 were sold to Netflix. The film’s rights were sold for a massive amount of Rs 155 crore in Hindi and other South Indian languages. Now, a new update by OTT Play states that the makers are also striking a deal for Devara Part 2.

The report mentions that makers have made a demand of at least Rs 170 crore from the streaming giant for the sequel’s digital rights. Jr NTR and his brother Kalyan Ram are the film’s co-producers, and the duo is confident that the first part will be a big hit. Hence, they are demanding such a massive amount from Netflix. Only time will tell if the OTT platform will agree to these demands!

More About Devara Part 1

Janhvi Kapoor will be seen opposite Jr NTR’s character Devaraju/Devara. The actress will make her South debut with Koratala Siva’s action drama. Saif Ali Khan will play the villain in the film, which also stars Prakash Raj, Meera Jasmine, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, Murali Sharma, and others.

Anirudh Ravichander will compose the film’s music. R Rathnavelu has worked as the film’s cinematographer, and A Sreekar Prasad is the editor.

Earlier this year, the makers dropped the Devara Part 1 teaser, filled with brilliant fight scenes and stunning visuals. The RRR actor looks quite intense as he fights by the sea, which has witnessed more swords and blood than fish.

The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 10, 2024. Moviegoers can watch the movie in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages.
