‘Cobra’ Director Ajay Gnanamuthu Denies Helming Thalapathy Vijay’s Next

Cobra will have Chiyaan Vikram in multiple avatars alongside former Indian Cricketer Irfan Pathan in crucial roles.

Filmmaker Ajay Gnanamuthu’s much anticipated action-thriller Cobra with superstar Chiyaan Vikram happens to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Only last week it was learned that shoot of some of the crucial portions from the actioner came to halt in Russia amid Coronavirus Pandemic.

There has been buzz from the start of this year about the Cobra maker helming Thalapathy Vijay’s next i.e #Thalapathy65. However, putting the speculations to an end Ajay Gnanamuthu denied that he isn’t directing a film with the Master star. As during his recent interaction on Twitter with his followers, the filmmaker rubbished it by saying that there’s no truth to it.

About Ajay’s directorial Cobra, the action thriller will have Chiyaan Vikram in multiple avatars. The first look poster of the film has been well received by cine goers and Vikram fans.

The action-thriller also has Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan along with ‘KGF‘ actress Srinidhi Shetty in key roles.

Music for ‘Cobra’ is been composed by musical genius AR Rahman, while the film is produced by Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio.

The Chiyaan Vikram starrer which is originally slated to hit in theatres this summer, may only release later this year following the halt in shoot and post productional works of the film following Coronavirus pandemic.

However, an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited from the makers.
