Director Atlee Kumar who has teamed up with superstar Vijay for the third time in their upcoming Tamil venture Bigil can breathe a sigh of relief, as the Chennai Court has dismissed the plagiarism petition filed by director KP Selvah. The latter had accused the former of plagiarising his story.

Talking about the film, Bigil is one of the biggest and awaited releases in Kollywood.

The film was recently in news all over internet following Vijay’s sweet gesture as the actor after wrapping up the final portions of the film had gifted the cast and crew members with gold rings. A total of 300 plus gold rings were gifted with the film’s name imprinted on it.

Bigil, is a sports film which revolves around women’s football team on the backdrop of North Madras.

The audience will get to see Vijay in dual roles, as father and son. The father’s part will have him playing a local goon, and the son’s part will have him playing a coach to women’s football team.

Bigil, also stars actress Nayanthara in lead, along with Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff and others in major roles.

Earlier the director-actor duo of Atlee and Vijay have worked together for super hit films, Theri and Mersal.

The Vijay starrer is slated for release on 27th October in Tamil and Telugu on Occasion of Diwali.
