Acharya: Makers Of Chiranjeevi Starrer To Cut Down The Budget Due To COVID-19?

Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya has been making headlines all across ever since its inception. The magnum opus helmed by Telugu star director Koratala Siva has been in news for various reasons. Following the current lockdown, the shoot of the film is currently put on a halt.

The latest buzz related to the Chiranjeevi led film is, the makers of the magnum opus are planning to cut down the budget of the film.

As per a report from thehansindia.com, the production is running in losses following the halt and several delays before. Following which they are planning to cut down the budget and wrap up the project in a limited period once the shoot resumes.

However, an official confirmation regarding the same is yet to be announced by the makers.

More about Acharya, the Chiranjeevi starrer has been in news early this year following speculations about Tollywood heartthrob Mahesh Babu having a cameo, which former rubbished as nothing but a mere rumour.

Acharya was also in headlines following actress Trisha’s exit from the project. The actress had stated that she walked out of the film because of some creative differences with makers. Following Trisha’s exit, the makers roped in Kajal Aggarwal as the film’s leading lady.a

Nearly 40% shoot of Acharya has been completed. The shoot of remaining portions is expected to resume soon. The social-action-drama is been bankrolled by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan’s Konidela production banner.
