Ram Gopal Varma’s direction does justice to the script. He has made the film tight and crisp and has extracted great performances from his main cast. Camerawork (the film has been shot on a Canon 5D camera) is good. Action scenes are functional. Music (two songs composed by Sandeep Chowta and the remixed version of the Rangeela song composed by Amar Mohile) is just about okay. Sandeep Chowta’s background music is effective.
Not A Love Story Review – Komal Nahta’s Verdict
On the whole, Not A Love Story has limited appeal. It is more for the classes, that too in the big cities, than for the masses. It has curiosity value more than entertainment value and although its biggest plus point is its limited budget, it lacks the merits to score at the box-office.
