What’s Bad: There still are people who get up and leave while the credits of a Marvel movie are rolling, WHY HUMANS WHY? Coming to the movie, it takes more than a little time to build up the plot (No hardcore complaints though).
Loo Break: Umm, if you get an urge of taking a break in between this movie, just get up and leave the theater without disturbing others.
Watch or Not?: If I had the time stone of Doctor Strange from the film, I would go back in the time and watch this movie on loop.

Avengers: Infinity War is about this monstrous evil Thanos who’s on a quest to obtain all the six Infinity stones. The accomplishment of this mission will give him the power to destroy half of the world and rule the other half. It starts with the Asgardian brothers who were last seen in a space ship (Thor: Ragnarok) looking for a home. Thanos invade them and fight for the space stone which Loki acquired from Odin’s vault.
The heavily damaged Thor teams up with the guardians of the galaxy in order to continue this mission. In a parallel track, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), who is now aware about the vicious plan of Thanos, goes to Stephen Strange aka Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and both of them unite with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) to sort out a plan. We know the locations of five infinity stones; it’s just the soul stone of whose whereabouts are revealed later in the film.
So, Thanos wants his stones and each of our favourite superheroes do their best to defend them. Watch it know who succeeds in doing this & who gets the gauntlety punch by the evil master.
There are movies whose stories can be explained in a single line and this is one from them. But the catch is there’s a whole universe established behind that single line. Every of 20 odd major characters are intradependent on each other. Every one of them has parallel tracks running with the others & the makers nail it in avoiding any sort of confusion. They prove how this isn’t any league, these are Avengers and mind you they’re entertaining.
Thor & Rocket, Doctor Strange & Tony Stark, Thanos & Gamora, Natasha, Wanda & Okoye, Stark & Spidey – every pair churn out epicness in between the beautiful chaos that’s occuring on screen. It takes time to build up the story in the first half but that’s acceptable given the amount of material makers had to explore and present. For the first time in the history of Marvel Cinematic Universe, a movie of them has made me emotional. Towards the climax the makers go all out sentiments & they succeed. There’s one post credit scene and has a lot of meaning to it.

This section of the review needs a separate post because there are so many performances to talk about. Starting with the biggies or richies – Robert Downey Jr. is all heart yet again proving how there can be just one Iron Man. Benedict Cumberbatch surprisingly has many memorable scenes to his credit [Not that I don’t love Dr. Strange but because he over-shines CapAm (There I said it!)].
The all hot and sharp bearded Chris Evans (Captain America), at first will remind you of his Before We Go avatar but gets under the skin very soon. He is good but as an Evans fan I surely expected more of his character. I missed Chris Hemsworth (Thor) in the first half of the film but he returns with his blue-eyed vengeance face amassing some loudest hoots from the audience.
Chris Pratt as the Star Lord is underused as we’re used to his swag from the GOTG series, which I missed in this one. Can’t say I missed the Hulk more or Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), watch it to know what I’m talking about. We’ve finally got the Spider Man we deserve in Tom Holland and hope the makers stick with him for the upcoming generation of superheroes.
The character of Josh Brolin (Thanos) is the most worked upon character in the film. The makers have given him different shades which at times also make you empathetic for him. The major final show-off between him and the Avengers will surely go down in the books as one of the best action scenes ever executed.
Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, the minds behind making the Captain America series entertaining, have successfully executed this monumental task of bringing in all. They maintained a fine line between using every actor as an individual and using all of them as a team; which is the main reason why this film lives up to the gigantic expectations. Throughout the movie it’s evident how the genius minds backing Marvel have risked literally everything to deliver us this memorable experience.
Music has always been one weak link for Marvel movies (Except the last few ones like Thor: Ragnarok & Black Panther) and even with everything falling perfectly to its place music is pretty substandard. Makers have roped the veteran Alan Silvestri back to choreograph the sound department. Not even close to what Mark Mothersbaugh and Ludwig Göransson did in Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther. It’s just the Avengers theme that’s pleasantly audible, rest everything is just noise burdened under the grandeur narration.
All said and done this is the BEST to come out from Marvel Cinematic Universe. This covers the disappointment created by Age Of Ultron & entertain big time. Also, this ends on a cliffhanger which creates more curiosity than “Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara?”.
