After the likes of Tamil superstars Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Suriya, Prakash Raj, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi and others, Kollywood star Thala Ajith happens to be the latest to join the list of celebs from the Tamil Film industry to contribute for Coronavirus relief fund. The actor yesterday donated a sum of 1.25 crores.
Out of 1.25 crores, the Tamil superstar has donated 50 Lakhs to PM-CARES fund, followed by another 50 Lakhs to Tamil Nadu CM’s Public Relief fund and 25 Lakhs to daily wage workers of FEFSI (Film Employees Federation Of South India).
The current lockdown all over the nation amid coronavirus pandemic has hit daily wage workers the most. Following halt in shoot of films and serials, daily wage workers in film industries have a tough ask to meet their daily basic necessaties like food, medicines, etc.
On the work front, Thala Ajith who was last seen on the big screen in filmmaker H.Vinoth’s courtroom drama Nerkonda Paarvai as a fierce lawyer had been busy shooting for action thriller Valimai before the Coronavirus Pandemic struck.

Valimai is helmed by H.Vinoth and is bankrolled by Boney Kapoor under his production banner BSK Network and Entertainment PVT Ltd.
After Nerkonda Paarvai, it is for the third time where Thala Ajith, H.Vinoth and Boney Kapoor are teaming up for a film.
The Thala Ajith starrer which is scheduled for release on the auspicious occasion of Diwali may be postponed following a halt in shoot due to the current crisis.
