Shruti Haasan has always been bold enough to talk about each and every topic that comes to her mind and especially if the topic is related to body shaming or beauty standards in the film industry. She is one of the many actresses who have always been trolled for her lip and nose surgery. But, this has never bothered the ‘Luck’ actress much.
Shruti has never shied away from confessing that she has undergone surgeries to enhance her look. Infact, she has gone ahead and always stated that she does not regret her decision of undergoing cosmetic surgeries as she considers it a very normal thing.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Shruti Haasan talked about whether she had any pressure of looking a certain way to attain success in this show business. She said, “I think there is and there isn’t. There was a time I listened to the pressure. As far as my nose surgery goes, it’s a choice I made, even after my first film was done because my nose was broken. I didn’t like the way it felt. I didn’t like the way it looked. It was a personal choice. Nobody asked me to fix it.”

Shruti has always said that she is not someone who would promote plastic surgery, it should be an individual’s decision. Shruti further added, “If there are any actresses telling you they haven’t done it, they are blatantly lying because people’s faces don’t change that much. But it’s just something that I wanted to talk about. I don’t propagate it. What I’m trying to say is… It could be something from coloring your hair, like women who are Indian who feel they need to bleach their skin or dye their hair blonde or wear blue contact lenses…It’s the same thing, right?”
