Yesterday, on eve of the actor’s birthday Rajinikanth’s elder daughter took to Twitter to announce the launch of her production company ‘May 6 Entertainments’s website.

Soundarya’s ‘May 6 Entertainment’ has partnered with ‘MX Player’ to bankroll the Tamil web series, Ponniyin Selvan. The series is helmed by Sooriyaprathap S.

Talking about Soundarya’s dad Rajinikanth, the veteran actor yesterday kick-started the shoot of his next which has been tentatively titled Thalaivar 168.

The film is being helmed by Siruthai Siva and is bankrolled by Sun Pictures.

The Rajinikanth starrer also stars veteran actress Khushbu, National award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh, Meena and Prakash Raj.

Rajinikanth will soon be seen on big screens in A R Murugadoss’s action thriller Darbar opposite Nayanthara in lead.

The Kollywood superstar in the action thriller will be seen donning the role of a Police officer named Aaditya Arunachalam. It will be after a gap of long 27 years where cine-goers will get to see Rajinikanth as a cop. The actor was last seen donning the role of a cop in 1992 release Pandiyan.

Darbar will release on 9th January 2020 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
