Avengers: Endgame Trivia #26: Did You Know? Captain America Is NOT The First Avenger In Marvel Comics! He’s Not Even In Top 5

Avengers: Endgame released a year ago and every day, we learn something new about our favourite superheroes or all the 23 films that have released so far. If Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow wouldn’t have sacrificed their lives, fighting off the deadly villain would’ve become tougher.

Our Avengers: Endgame Trivia #26 today is about our favourite Captain America aka Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans. The first time we all got to see Captain America is in the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger. But what if we tell you that in Marvel comics, Cap isn’t the First Avenger? Read on to know who is!

In Marvel comics, Captain America is the sixth Avenger. The first five Avengers are Ant-Man, Wasp, Hulk, Iron Man and Thor. In the comics, Captain America joined the team when Hulk left. Also, it is said that Thor is the older superhero followed by Captain America. But in comics, neither Cap is older nor the God of Thunder is centuries older.

We all know that filmmakers tweak the stories from the comics so that the films come across surprising and different. But this is quite a big revelation. What’s surprising is even Captain Marvel isn’t in the list despite her character being around during the 90s in the film that released last year.

Talking about Captain America, in Avengers: Endgame, Chris Evans’ character gives up on his superpowers. He chooses a simple life with his lover, Peggy Carter. Steve Rogers gives his vibranium shield to Falcon who will carry forward the legacy of Captain America in MCU further.
