Shah Rukh Khan graced the chair of IPL Extra Innings, going a step forward to promote his upcoming release Chennai Express. Teaming up with show host Gaurav Kapur, former cricketer Srikkanth and Navjot Singh Sindhu, SRK confirmed the release date as 8th August, Eid 2013.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the buzz for Chennai Express is magnanimous. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, the film began its first full fledged promotional yesterday by SRK making an appearance on IPL Extra Innings at the Indian Premier League’s Finale this season.

But SRK who had promised his fans a huge surprise surely dampened their spirits, as the audiences were waiting were something bigger than the film’s date that was already known!

Shah Rukh Khan has still withheld the film’s much exciting and awaited trailer. The film’s first song that was released a few days back couldn’t leave any mark on the audiences. Given the film’s hype and craze, the song just failed to meet the standards set for it.
However it was officially announced that Chennai Express is marking 8th August as their release date. While IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings was in full blast at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens, SRK fans harped more about the trailer of Chennai Express which has become a monumental and nail biting wait for them.
