Rajdhani Express is the forthcoming socio-political dramatic affair which also marks the debut of Leander Paes. Music of the album has been composed by the composers Ritesh Nalini with Lahu–Madhav chipping with one track. Lyrics of the movie are carved by Mirza Ghalib, Brb and Rameez. The album is a cluster of seven tracks.

Koi Umeed – Rajdhani Express Music Review

The music album begins with Lahu-Madhav’s Koi Umeed (Western) in the vocals of Hitesh Prasad which are well supported by the modern arrangements that stay on throughout the track. This one is of a relatively longer duration and turns out to be a situational gloomy track. Mirza Ghalib’s words, as expected, are deep and strong, thus backing the very genre of the movie. The number has an Indian version as well, which is a Ghazal in the vocals of Shahid Mallya. This one is rather dull and comes across as a monotonous outing which can be skipped.

Main Hoon Pathit – Rajdhani Express Music Review

From this point on Ritesh Nalini takes over and the song that arrives is Main Hoon Pathit, a prayer hummed on low notes by an array of singers. This one reminds 80s era but sadly doesn’t leave any impact upon the listeners.

Karte Hain Dil Se – Rajdhani Express Music Review

Karte Hain Dil Se is a solo track in the charismatic vocals of Udit Narayan. This one is a slow melodious composition, which at times appears to be more of a ‘ghazal’. Though this rendition is simpler and better than the song heard earlier, it too proves to be an average number. Lyrics penned by Rameez don’t have any innovation either.

Tera Zikr – Rajdhani Express Music Review

The album moves ahead with the track Tera Zikr which is in the melodious and pleasant vocals of Suresh Wadkar. This one is a catchy number which relaxes and calms the soul and will certainly take you into another world. Lyrics engraved by Brb are pleasing and acknowledgeable. The track has a female version as well, which is also the only female track that well supported by the vocalist Madhusmita. Overall it proves out to be an enjoyable outing by Ritesh.

Armaan Jagati Hain – Rajdhani Express Music Review

The album concludes with the track Armaan Jagati Hain in the harmonious voice of Shaan which spreads its aura all around. This one is another good number added to the list. Musical arrangements are soft and pleasant which are well blended with the mesmerizing vocals of Shaan. Rameez’s lyrics are fine enough.

The Last Word – Rajdhani Express Music Review

Altogether though, one cannot expect bright prospects from the music of Rajdhani Express which proves out to be a very average album with only Tera Zikr and Armaan Jagati Hain carrying some potential to do well.
