Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana Music Review: KikliKalerdi
The album blasts off with KikliKalerdi in the vocals of Pinky Maidasani, Amit Trivedi and Yo Yo Honey Singh. Arrangements by Amit are simple with more of ‘dhol’ which has enhanced the very genre of the track that has a humorous base to it. Later, Yo Yo Honey Singh’s rap further takes the song to the next level. Lyrics penned by Shellee are quite interesting and simple with a ‘Punjabi version’ following next.
Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana Music Review: Motorwada
Amit brings himself again along with Tochi Raina for a situational outing Motorwada which is more of a satire. Amit’s rendition is well supported by some humorous lyrics while musical instruments add zing to the rap and hip-hop portions that make an appearance as well.
Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana Music Review: Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana
Next to arrive is the duet track Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana which has the vocals of Shahid Mallya and Harshdeep Kaur. This number is a pleasant outing that begins with a smooth ‘tabla’. The track very aptly depicts a sweet and soft ‘jugalbandi’ between a husband and wife which catches pace gradually. The musical arrangements used by Amit are nice with the loud ‘dhol’ towards the end turning out to be quite catchy.
Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana Music Review: Luv Shuv… theme
The album moves ahead with Luv Shuv… theme, an instrumental by Tapas Roy, which is soft and smooth while staying on in low notes. The musical arrangements used are intense and relax the soul. One just cannot skip listening to this promising number.
Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana Music Review: Luni Luni
Harshdeep Kaur goes solo for Luni Luni which turns out to be a rather average number which cannot be remembered for a long time. The musical arrangements used by Amit are plain and the song only turns out to be musically quite similar to the ones that have been heard before. The track has a male version as well by Devender Singh who sings on a relatively lower note when compared to Harshdeep.
Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana Music Review: Makkhan Malai
Makkhan Malai is a full-on masti track in the vocals of Dilbahar and Renu Jagotra. The musical arrangements used Amit are quite ordinary and effortless but do support the comical theme of the movie.
Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana Music Review: Farukha Baadi
Farukha Baadi starts with the laughter of a group of girls who are enjoying and celebrating. Soon, Labh Janjua comes into picture and Amit, quite aptly, makes use of Punjabi folk arrangements that fuse well with his voice. As the track proceeds and nears its end, Trivedi adds a touch of harmonium to it as well.
Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana Music Review: The Last Word
Overall Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana has a Punjabi based situational soundtrack which lives up to the expectations but that’s about it. Though it does have some sparks in the offering, one does feel that it doesn’t quite go all the way in creating an out and out celebration mood.
