Both the movies were only average Box office grosser and even came to be termed as chick flicks. The 2006 Hollywood release She’s The Man was directed by Andy Fickman and the primary writers’ credits went to Ewan Leslie and Karen McCullah Lutz. Dil Bole Hadippa! 2009 Bollywood release was directed by Anurag Singh and starred Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukerji.

Rani’s character is remarkably alike Amanda Bynes’. Veera is a lot like Viola when it comes to sports. Both the movies carry forward two simultaneous plots. One of the fields where the girls show talent at par with men and hence their disguise of being of the opposite sex remains unhurt. The other is of confusing yet funny romances that spring up amongst teammates. DBH!’s storyline’s originality is seriously questionable and its writers’ credits went to Jaya and Aparajita.
